Johnson beats legal system

Former NFL and college coach, Jimmy Johnson, was called to jury duty in April, and when the judge asked if anyone couldn't serve, he raised his hand. According to the Miami Herald, Johnson said he couldn't serve now because he had a houseguest named Bill Parcells, and they were going deep-sea fishing. Johnson was excused and free to leave.

Yet again the American legal system is fair to all those involved. I’m surprised though that he wasn’t excused because it was one of his former players on trial. It’s only a matter of time before Nate Newton relapses and resorts to dealing drugs out of the trunk of his car again. It could have been worse for Nate though - at least they didn't find Rae Carruth in there.
